Constructing a sofa that meets today’s high standards for both design and function requires meticulous planning. That is why we at BD choose to make everything from scratch, entirely in-house.

In our own production facilities, we manufacture almost every single part and detail of your furniture. The wooden frames are built in our carpentry, the elegant bentwood is refined in our press plant, and our patented metal components and mechanisms are created in our metal department. Cushions are moulded and the foam and wadding are cut with precision, before our skilled sewing and upholstering departments take over to handcraft and complete your unique piece of furniture.

Gathering the entire production chain under one roof is your guarantee of uncompromising quality, efficiency, and climate-smart choices. We put immense dedication into selecting the absolute finest raw materials and cooperate exclusively with Europe’s leading producers. In a piece of furniture from BD, you will never find cheap particle boards or MDF. We use robust birch veneer in our frames and solid oak in all visible wooden details. Seating comfort is secured with durable metal no-sag springs, and the cushions are either moulded in an eco-friendly, water-based urethane or cut from flexible polyether. To give the sofa that extra soft and inviting surface, we wrap the cushions in the finest wadding.

Furthermore, we exclusively use Italian aniline and semi-aniline leather produced with great care for the environment. This provides you with a completely pure and natural product that only grows more beautiful over time, aging with a stunning patina.
