Bentwood consists of thin wooden lamellas in oak or birch that are joined with an eco-friendly water-based glue. The material is then pressed into elegant, natural shapes inspired by Scandinavian nature. Each freshly pressed wooden detail rests in moulds for four weeks to ensure perfect shape and stability.

After curing, the component is mechanically machined and assembled with a seat element. The seat and back are built around a robust steel tube frame with durable no-sag suspension (zigzag springs), as well as moulded urethane cushions wrapped in soft wadding. To achieve optimal sitting comfort, we upholster the furniture in carefully selected sheepskin, leather, or fabric.

Tailored ergonomics and function

Several of our bentwood armchairs are equipped with a smooth slide function with a reclining backrest, as well as a height- and angle-adjustable headrest that makes it easy to find your ideal lounging position.
